What I am Up To

Here's what I'm doing right now:

1-Writing a paper entitled "Historical Attitudes of Monotheistic Religions Towards Women in Science" (I'm on page 5 of 12, was due on the 11th but I have an extension till tommorrow)
2- Hanging out in Etsy Chat.
3- Knitting a custom hat for CC over at Etsy. (out of yummy malabrigo.. mm.. thankfully she must sell some of the stuff she makes, because she's not afraid to spend MONEY)
4- Chatting with my Fiance
5- Attempting to Study for my "Atheism: Then and Now" Final exam- it is tomorrow at 8am.
6- Procrastinating
7- Trying to find my black embroidery floss so I can finish the amigurumi birdie I have made
8- Having a mental breakdown

Think I've got enough on my plate? And that's not even counting the rewrites I have for Youth Organizations, the take-home final for the same class, and the final for Orchard Management which is on Friday.

Go me.

Journals!

I do customs as well- convo me for more info!

Awesome Journals for All!

Buy my crap! Please!

No really, I love you all. Plus I feel bad after exposing you all to the terrible-ness.

Ew.

So I'm all happy, doing my thing in the bathroom, and I look over at the shower... and see something red in it.

I look closer- I think maybe it's from my peppermint soap, which has been known to leak color.

No such luck. The red is coming from several little clots of blood on the shower.

menstrual blood.....

I.

Hate.

My.

Roommate.

HOW CAN YOU NOT FUCKING NOTICE THAT YOU ARE DRIPPING BLOOD FROM YOUR VAGINA AND ONTO THE FUCKING FLOOR OF THE SHOWER? CAN YOU FUCKING WASH IT DOWN THE DRAIN, AT LEAST? PLEASE? SO I DON'T HAVE TO SEE IT?!

I'm going to go throw up now.

Flower Update

Welp, apparently my friend from etsy was correct, and there was nothing wrong with my amaryllis flower. This morning the 'weird' flower was indistinguishable from the rest except for the slight splotchiness on the petals. Freaky. Apparently those stamen parts SPLIT open and then turn inside out and.. come out looking normal.

The wonders of the plant world.

I'm trying to get seeds from my flowers :)

Flower Weirdness and another Journal

So I was looking at my second amaryllis today, and I noticed that the petals were a little splotchy on the most recently opening flower- this confused me greatly, so I decided to look closer. What I found was that the pictures were quite different.

The normal one is on the right and the weird one is on the left. Freaky, no?

Anyway, I made a couple journals today but I only got pics of one and it's up in the store now:

"I Believe I can Fly" Journal $8

Back to working on my hort paper. I'm soooo busy.

More Gudonya Raving

Well I got my latest (and hopefully last for a while, as I need to STOP SPENDING) Gudonya shipment in today, and received the following:

2 Vanilla Mint Lip Smoothies link
1 Bar Peppermint Floap link
1 "So Delicious" Body Kiss link
1 Wooden Soap Rest link
1 Opulence Hand and Nail Scrub link
1 Whipped Shea Butter link
1 Baby Legs Shaving Soap link

Here's my review. Keep in mind that I am totally going to keep buying from Gudonya, I'm just giving my honest opinion ;)

Lip Smoothies- Love the formula, but I can't seem to find the right flavor. Will stick to unscented from now on.
Peppermint Floap- You already know I love this.
Body Kiss- They contacted me today to say that the one they sent was part of a botched batch so they are sending a new one. I think it works OK as is but I'll update once they send another.
Soap Rest- Works great! If you don't already have a soap dish, this is an awesome choice
Opulence Scrub- Works great, smells terrible. Really, I'm going to use it, but it's awful. I don't know why, but I'm def. not buying it again. Sad that I struck out, but hoping I get used to it.
Whipped Shea Butter- Very nice. Scent is a little weird, and much smaller than I expected, but still nice. Not like they didn't TELL me what size it was. I was just surprised.
Shaving Soap- haven't tried it yet, will update when i do. But another SMELLS TERRIBLE. Like over-sweet cherry candy. Woahs.

They also sent me a free bath mitt which I am very happy about. Overall, very pleased with the order, and now know what to avoid in the future.

Busy Busy

So, tomorrow is the LAST DAY of classes. MEEP! I've still got sooo much work to do that I'm going crazy, but I'm doing it. I'm also trying to keep up with my Etsy Shop, which is working out pretty well but I don't think I have time to make another journal today so I think I might be listing some yarn tonight. We'll have to see. I'm going to be going nuts with work and stuff like that, so who knows.

I added some new features to the blog- if you wanna subscribe to me, then go ahead and pop your email into the box over yonder on your right- you'll get all the updates and stuff! Also, if you guys wanna add me on Myspace, that's fine too. I don't honestly like MySpace that much but I'm just trying to network and get my name out there for the shop, and mLee says she gets some sales from myspace, so we'll see.

This was what my pretty amaryllis looked like a few days ago. I think it's my fault that it is wilting now; I like to play with flowers, and I pollinated the damned things. Well, it didn't occur to me then but when I went out to the Lansing orchard for Orchard Management he talked about how the flowers will generally stay blooming until they are pollinated, but they will drop petals almost immediately once they are pollinated... So I'm pretty sure that it's my fault my amaryllis didn't last that long. It is OK though, I have a nice bright red one that's just starting to bloom, so I'll enjoy that for a while.

Sooo glad class is almost over. Look for more crafty stuff from me soon.
